I've been posting images to Flickr for a few months now, and one of the things that I've always wanted to do was post before and after versions of some of my images. The before would show the as shot image and the after would be the 'developed' version. While this is certainly something doable on Flickr, I didn't want to flood my image pool with a bunch of similar images. Instead, I decided to create this blog where I can post before and after versions of an image and attempt to describe the steps I took to get to the final image. I'll also use this blog to post other images for which some additional background information might be useful. For example, I might have an abstract image and I'll post another image which gives more context to shot. Mostly this blog is just a place for me to post images and related information.
It should be noted that I am by no means a Photoshop expert. I've only been using Photoshop for a few months, and what little I know comes from reading articles, books and viewing online tutorials. Videos from RadiantVista.com and Photoshop User TV have been a great help. My hope is that people who view this site will learn something by what I have done, and might hopefully contribute some new ideas as well.
